Incident reports are available thru an agency FOIA request

Accident reports are available thru request with proper identification or via request from insurance company.

All reports are released at the discretion of the Sheriff.

Greene County Sheriff’s Office accepts cash, checks or money orders only. Sorry no credit cards.

In Greene County any Emergency calls for service you are to dial 911.

In Greene County any Non-Emergency calls for service you are to dial 434-985-2222

Any administrative calls for service you are to dial 434-985-8682 and listen to prompts

If you receive a civil paper on your door and it’s not for anyone currently living at that location, please call 434-985-2222 and advise our records/communication division who will send a Deputy by to pick up.

4. Will your department fingerprint me for a job I am applying for..?

Yes. Fingerprinting can be done between the hours of 1pm-3pm Monday & Wednesday and Friday 830am-12pm. The fingerprinting fee is $10.00 for first set and $5 for every set afterwards. Please bring the application fingerprint card, and a state picture ID.
