  • Victim Witness Director

    The Greene County Sheriff’s Office is currently accepting applications for a FT Victim Witness Program Director. Salary: $48,816. Benefits: Health/Dental/Life Insurance; Retirement; Vacation & Sick Leave. Position is partially grant funded by DCJS.

    The Director is responsible for the administration and management of the Victim Witness Program by providing information to victims/witnesses of crime in accordance with the Crime Victim and Witness Rights Act. The daily management of the program will consist of providing services to victims/witnesses to include crisis intervention, protection, court preparation, case notifications, counseling referrals, financial assistance, victim input, etc. The Director is also responsible for maintaining and updating all grant requirements via mandated case and client reporting.

    The successful candidate will possess effective oral & written communication skills; strong organizational & analytical skills; knowledge of case management, counseling & crisis intervention techniques; knowledge of the criminal justice system, both state & local and experience working with victims of crime, law enforcement, and court services.

    Bachelor’s degree in psychology, social work, criminal justice, or related fields is preferred and/or supplemented by 1-2 years’ experience working with victims of crime, law enforcement, or other direct services to persons involved in legal proceedings; or any equivalent combination of training & experience which provides the required skill, knowledge & ability.
